The Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant's first unit has received the green light to initiate its power startup process. Before the unit can be synchronized with the national grid, it must undergo a series of staged power tests and comprehensive equipment inspections. Several commissioning phases remain to be completed before the facility begins supplying electricity.
