In an effort to alleviate traffic congestion, the government has moved to shut down illegal autorickshaw charging points and implement more stringent rules for road maintenance and construction projects. These decisions were finalized during an inter-ministerial meeting held on 15 September, chaired by Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed. Representatives from relevant government agencies were present at the meeting to discuss strategies for improving road conditions and traffic management.
