Government doctors are now prohibited from conducting private practice at clinics or chambers situated within a one-kilometer radius of public hospitals. This directive was issued by Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, Director of the Hospital and Clinics Department at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the official notice, this decision follows the implementation of the sixth resolution from a meeting held on 17 August, which was chaired by the Prime Minister and focused on enhancing the quality of healthcare services.
