According to central bank sources, the newly introduced regulations regarding the appointment of representative directors will not be applicable to BRAC Bank, Community Bank, Shimanto Bank, and Trust Bank. This exemption is granted because the majority of shares in these financial institutions are held by trusts or non-profit organizations.
