The cabinet committee has officially recommended the procurement of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from five designated suppliers. Under this approved arrangement, Bangladesh is set to import nine LNG cargoes between December 2026 and December 2027. The agreement includes a provision allowing for adjustments to the total volume of cargoes, provided both parties reach a mutual consensus.
